-
- I don't know what splitter programs Anthony's on about here, but
- remember that there must be a program on the Atari which can re-join the
- files aftewards. ARJ is available for both machines, so that's why it's
- recommended.

-
- This sounds like a similar problem to the one I have with using the
- Macs at college. The Mac immediately copies a couple of hidden system files
- onto any disk as soon as it's put into the machine, and this means that
- there is usually 24k less space on a floppy than there should be, which of
- course means that archives that only just fit on a PC disk won't fit onto
- one in a Mac. Most annoying since the only internet linked machines we have
- at college are Macs. 8-(
-
- What you might try is formatting the blank disk then immediately
- copy the file onto it. I've found that sometimes that works on the Mac
- (believe it or not, if you format a disk, then drag the file to it right
- away, it sometimes gets there before the system files are copied- mad).
-
- If you find that the file still won't fit, then don't dispair,
- there is another way. When using ARJ to split the file, you can select how
- large the segments are in bytes. The option for 1.44meg disks is just a
- short cut.
-
- Have another day.
